Sprogø is one of the most exciting small islands in Danish history. The island has been used as a fortress, has protected nature and has been home to a number of “maladjusted girls”. Sprogø and Nyborg are closely connected - both historically and via the Great Belt connection. That's why we end our trip to Sprogø with a city walk in the historic centre of Nyborg and a visit to the historic Borgmestergården from the beginning of the 17th century.

• We only travel outdoors on Sprogø - we do not enter the Pigehjem itself.
• We travel on foot. The walks are not suitable for the gait impaired.
